Privacy policy
This policy describes what Fadron collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers the website only. If you are a customer, the handling of imagery and survey data you send us is governed by the agreement covering that work.
Who is responsible
Fadron Ltd, Sofia Tech Park, Bul. Tsarigradsko shose 111B, Sofia 1784, Bulgaria, is the data controller for this website. For anything in this policy, including any of the requests below, write to [email protected].
Analytics and advertising
This site uses a third-party analytics service to count visits, see which pages get read, and see how often our forms are started and sent. Where you allow it, that service sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address, the pages you open, the time you spend on them, which form you started or sent (not what you wrote in it), and general information about your device, browser, and approximate location. We read the result as totals and do not use it to identify you. The legal basis is your consent, which you give in the cookie notice and can withdraw there at any time.
With the same consent we also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, an advertising service, to measure our LinkedIn campaigns. It sets cookies and tells LinkedIn which of our pages you visit and whether you send us a form, and LinkedIn reports the results back to us as totals. LinkedIn also handles that data under its own privacy policy. We make no automated decisions about anyone. Fonts and images are served from our own domain. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
What we collect, and why
When you submit a form
The contact, defense enquiry, sample report, newsletter, and Nimbus configuration forms collect what the form shows on screen: typically your name, work email, organization, country, and whatever you write in the message field, plus any fields specific to that form. We use it to answer you, and, if you asked for a document or a report, to send it.
With each submission we also record the time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the page you submitted from. These are kept as a spam and abuse record: they are what let us tell an enquiry from an automated submission. We also record which campaign or website brought you to us: the campaign tags in the link you arrived by (for example the utm_ parameters, or an ad click ID from Google or LinkedIn), the website that referred you, and the page you landed on. Your browser holds this only for the current visit, or for up to 90 days if you accepted cookies, and it reaches us only inside a form you choose to send. We do not use any of it to build a profile of you.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, in keeping the forms usable, and in knowing which of our campaigns bring enquiries, and, where you have asked us to send you something or to quote for work, the steps needed to enter into a contract with you.
When you subscribe to the newsletter
We keep your email address and the fact that you subscribed. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by writing to us.
Cookies
This site sets the cookies below. The analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie notice.
- fadron_units remembers whether to show you metric or imperial units, so the choice survives to the next page. Expires after a year.
- fadron_admin and fadron_preview are set only when a Fadron administrator signs in to the private admin area, and only for that person. They expire after eight hours. If you have never signed in to our admin, you will never receive them.
- Analytics and advertising cookies, set by our analytics provider and by LinkedIn, tell one visit apart from another, recognize a returning browser, and let LinkedIn count visits and form submissions that came from our LinkedIn campaigns. They are set only after you accept cookies in the cookie notice, and not before.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary web server logs, which include IP addresses, as part of running and securing the service.
Who else sees it
These providers handle data for us, and no one else:
- An email delivery provider sends the notification and confirmation emails that a form submission triggers, so the contents of a submission pass through it.
- A cloud hosting provider runs this website and stores its data.
- An analytics provider and LinkedIn receive the measurement data described above, and only where you have accepted cookies. LinkedIn acts partly on its own account, under its own privacy policy.
We disclose personal data outside those providers only where the law requires it. Where a provider stores or handles data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer relies on a European Commission adequacy decision or on the Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept while there is a live business reason to keep them: an open enquiry, an ongoing relationship, or a legal obligation. They are removed when there is not. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and ask for your data in a portable form. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time, which does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection, or to the supervisory authority where you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top.
