An airport pavement management program sits between two hard constraints: the movement area cannot be closed during operations, and a compliant record has to exist when an auditor asks. FAA AC 150/5380-7B sets the cycle for federally obligated airports at a detailed pavement inspection every year, or every three years where an ASTM D5340 PCI survey is performed. D5340 PCI is what comes back from this flight.

Surface deformation
HALO AI measures the depth of every depression and rut and the height of every bump and shove, and maps standing water with its total volume. It all comes from the drone flight that found the cracks and lands in the same ASTM D5340 report, so the repair plan covers the shape of the runway as well as its surface.

Water that stands on a runway after rain is a hydroplaning risk for every aircraft that lands through it. HALO AI marks each low spot where water would collect and totals the volume, so drainage and leveling repairs are sized from measurement.

A bump or a sag jolts every aircraft that rolls over it, and a crack map shows neither. The relief view does: depressions and ruts in deep red, bumps and high spots in blue, each measured in depth or height and scored into the D5340 PCI.
